Emily Farber is such an amazing realtor. Due to an unfortunate situation with a tenant who didn't pay rent, I needed to sell my home quickly as I wasn't able to pay a mortgage, rent, and grad school bills all at the same time. When we decided to put our house on the market and look for a new home, we knew that choosing the right real estate agent was crucial. We started out by going to some open houses, mostly to meet agents and see if we could find someone experienced and knowledgeable, but also someone we could genuinely like as a person since we knew this was someone we would be spending a lot of time with. It was also important to us that we find someone who wouldn’t shy away from including our energetic little boys in the process, too, since we’d be bringing them along to look at houses. Once we met Emily at an open house she was hosting, we knew we’d found the real estate agent we were looking for. After assessing our home for the market, Emily gave us detailed (and reasonable) advice for preparing our house for listing. Her knowledge of the local market and determination of the proper listing price was spot on. Three minutes after our home was listed we had our first showing request. (And it was booked for showings for most of the day.) We had our first offer that evening, and ended up with three total, including an escalating offer, all before 7 a.m. the next morning. Within 24 hours we had accepted an offer over asking price. Throughout the entire process, we really didn’t have to worry about much of anything beside keeping our house in tip-top-shape. She organized the inspection remedy requests, recommended and scheduled services with business that we were so happy with we’ll be sure to use them should the need arise in the future. She kept us on track and informed every step of the way. Emily also represented us for the purchase of our new home. Her advice proved just as valuable as she guided us through the purchase of a new construction home with knowledge and confidence.
